Under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and hosted and organized by the Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), the second edition of the Water Partnership Forum kicked off today at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh. The event brings together ministers, senior officials, experts, leaders, and decision-makers from around the world.
Held over two days, on November 2–3, the forum embodies the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in promoting sustainability, enhancing resource management efficiency, and developing the water sector’s infrastructure.
This year’s edition features wide participation, including over 50 speakers, more than 15 panel discussions and presentations, and an accompanying exhibition with over 25 local and international exhibitors.
The forum aims to enhance collaboration among key stakeholders in the water sector by providing a platform for sharing best practices, exchanging expertise, and discussing innovative solutions that ensure the sustainability of the water sector in Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East and North Africa. It also seeks to facilitate strategic partnerships and meaningful dialogue, ensuring inclusive representation across the sector and leveraging collective insights to support continuous improvement and water security.
The event serves as a high-level platform designed for government officials, industry leaders, and CEOs, fostering focused discussions that contribute to building shared visions and practical solutions for the future of water.
The first day of the forum includes panel discussions about the water security and its future challenges, governance and policies, institutional partnerships, GCC collaborations in the water sector, and the role of the private sector in enhancing project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. It also features a special session titled “World Water Forum 2027 – From Riyadh to the World: A Legacy of Water Sustainability.”
On the second day, the sessions will cover various topics such as stimulating investment in the water sector, financing water infrastructure projects, “Sustainable Desalination and Renewable Energy: Design and Implementation,” “Best Practices of EPC Contractors in Implementing PPP Water Infrastructure Projects,” “Legal Frameworks for Public-Private Partnerships,” and a “Case Study: New Bankable PPP Models.”
In addition, several presentations will be delivered on the exhibition stage throughout the two days, showcasing the latest technologies and solutions in the water sector.
