Saudi Water Partnership Company Achieves Organizational Excellence by EFQM Recognition

Saudi Water Partnership Company has been awarded the four-star “Recognised by EFQM for Sustainable Performance” certification by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), one of the world’s most widely recognized institutional excellence frameworks.

The certification was formally received by H.E. Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti, Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, on behalf of H.E. the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, in the presence of Eng. Khaled Al-Quraishi, Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Water Partnership Company.

The recognition reflects an advanced level of institutional excellence and underscores the company’s ability to implement effective governance frameworks, clear strategic direction, and efficient performance management in line with international best practices, within the water sector—one of the most complex and sensitive sectors globally.

The recognition followed a comprehensive assessment covering governance frameworks, strategic clarity, stakeholder management, performance measurement, and results delivery. The evaluation highlighted the company’s capacity to operate as an integrated institutional model that links strategic planning with execution and sustainable value creation.

EFQM confirmed that this level of recognition is granted exclusively to organizations demonstrating a systematic commitment to sustainable performance. The certification was awarded in December 2025 and will remain valid for three years, until December 2028.

The achievement carries international significance amid growing global interest in public-private partnership (PPP) models for infrastructure development. Saudi Water Partnership Company plays a strategic role as a facilitator and contractual off-taker, aligning public sector objectives with private sector investment, without assuming operational or executional responsibilities.

The four-star recognition represents a key milestone in the company’s institutional development journey and strengthens its positioning as an organization operating in line with global standards of governance, efficiency, and sustainability—reinforcing confidence in partnership models

within the water sector and aligning with international trends in infrastructure management.
